We always try to do something a bit different for our last week before Christmas, so this year Steve (our chairman) asked a very special visitor to come and give a presentation. Coco (a 14- stone Newfoundland dog) and her owner, Gaye, came along to tell us all about the work of the Newfound Friends.
The Newfound friends run water-rescue displays to raise money for various charities. Gaye told us all about the history of this remarkable breed, and their special adaptations that make them natural lifesavers...

At the end of the session, Colin Almond (President and Chairman of the RLSS Avon and North Wiltshire Branch) presented Carol Mason with a certificate of thanks in recognition of all her hard work for the club over the years. Then we rounded the session off with some games in the pool...
