Keynsham Lifesaving Club teaches its members the skills required to save lives. We offer a range of Royal Lifesaving Society awards, including Lifesupport (which teaches rescue breathing, chest compressions and emergency first aid) and Bronze Medallion (which teaches you how to rescue a casualty from water safely). It normally takes a minimum of 30 weeks training to complete each award.
Who Can Join?
Everyone is welcome at Keynsham Lifesaving Club: whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced lifeguard! We have a whole range of ages and abilities so you're bound to find a course that suits you. To take part in water-based activities you must be able to swim 200m, but if just want to learn a bit of first aid then this is also the club for you.
Where and When?
Keynsham lifesaving club trains on Sunday evenings at Keynsham Leisure Centre. We meet at 7 for Resuscitation training, then we get into the pool for water-based training from 8-9.
We don't train every week so check the calendar to avoid disappointment.

How Much Does It Cost?
If you think you'd like to give lifesaving a go, the first session is free. After that, the club costs £40 per term (10 weeks). Tuition is included in the price, but if you want to take awards you have to pay a small exam fee.
What Do I Need To Bring?
All you need to bring is your swimming costume, a towel and an old T-shirt to wear in the water.
